According to reports, Jay-Z and Roc Nation are intensifying their response to attorney Tony Buzbee, whose latest lawsuit has escalated their ongoing battle.
The court filing reveals another troubling accusation: that Buzbee transmitted a venereal disease to a woman he was seeing, adding a particularly embarrassing twist to the legal clash. Jane Doe accused the Texas attorney of exploiting her after they first interacted online in 2018, alleging that he had unprotected sex with her at a Houston hotel without informing her of an unknown venereal infection.
The woman reported feeling ill the following day and discovered through her doctor that she had contracted a sexually transmitted disease. She claims that Buzbee was already aware of his diagnosis when she informed him. The lawsuit alleges that Buzbee pressured the woman into silence by asking her not to disclose his STD status and in return offered her free legal counsel. Despite this, she continued to see him, traveling with him to destinations like Panama and New York City.
The accusation surfaced when she claimed that during a visit, Buzbee suddenly erupted in anger, shoving a champagne flute into her face, causing a chip in her tooth. This alleged assault reportedly took place while he was representing her in a divorce case last month.
Buzbee Claims Conspiracy by Roc Nation and Diddy’s Lawyers, Vows Legal Action
Tony Buzbee pushed back against the lawsuit on social media Thursday, December 19, accusing attorneys from Roc Nation and Diddy of orchestrating the legal action.
The lawyer stated, “The smear campaign continues. Today I was sued yet again by a lawyer affiliated with the same lawyers I face in the Diddy litigation.” “The conspiracy to discredit me and intimidate me from pursing claims in the Diddy litigation has at this point, become criminal. This latest case, like the others, is frivolous, laughable and ridiculous and will be dismissed like the others.”
He continued, “This latest one is provably false with literally no factual basis or merit whatsoever. Prior to filing it the lawyer demanded $20 million from me, claiming that if I didn’t pay he would trash my reputation despite being shown that his ‘client’s’ wild claims could not be true.” “We won’t just sit back and allow this criminality to continue. We have reported this conduct to the relevant legal authorities. And, we will be filing our own cases against those behind this to put a stop to it once and for all.”
Roc Nation quickly responded with its own statement, dismissing Buzbee’s allegations and taking a jab at the lawyer by referring to him as “Mr. 1800.” The label wrote on X, “Mr. 1800 said today that Roc Nation is criminally responsible for his legal woes with his ex-clients/ex-lover who is accusing him of transmitting venereal diseases, assaulting, falsifying documents and stealing clients moneys. No and no.” “God is behind that sunlight you keep referencing,” the statement added, referencing Buzbee’s use of the quote “Sunlight is the best disinfectant.” “We are not the source of every sunlight you get but Roc sunshine is coming your way Mr. 1800. Shameful.”
