Rapper and entrepreneur Jeezy is finally addressing the speculation surrounding his now-viral 2023 interview with actress Nia Long — and he’s confirming what many fans suspected all along.
During a recent interview, Jeezy opened up about his candid exchange with Long, admitting that he was, in fact, flirting. “They wasn’t lying,” he said, referring to the widespread fan theories that he was trying to shoot his shot during the emotionally charged sit-down. At the time, Jeezy was still navigating the end of his marriage to television host Jeannie Mai.
Despite the flirtation, Jeezy emphasized that he remained respectful throughout. “I was going through a divorce. I’ve never cheated — real men don’t cheat,” he added, underscoring his values of loyalty and integrity.
Jeezy and Jeannie Mai announced their separation in September 2023. Their divorce was finalized in June 2024. The two share a daughter, Monaco. Speaking on where they stand today, Jeezy shared, “We’re at peace,” and said he’s focused on embracing his freedom and continuing his personal growth.
Now that both he and Nia Long are officially single — Long split from ex-fiancé Ime Udoka in late 2022 — Jeezy isn’t ruling anything out. In fact, he even joked about extending an invitation to Long for his upcoming TM:101 20th Anniversary Tour, subtly suggesting the door might still be open.
