Joe Budden may appreciate Drake with the melodies, but he’s far less amused by finding himself featured on the rapper’s finsta.

On Monday, a slow-motion clip of the rapper-turned-podcaster stepping out of a vehicle, smoking, surfaced on @plottttwistttttt, an Instagram account linked to Drake. Lil Wayne’s introspective Let It All Work Out from Tha Carter V played over the footage, adding a dramatic touch. Budden addressed the post on his podcast, dismissing any notion of engaging in a feud.

“Hey, Drake, don’t come at me just because you’re ice cold,” Budden said. “I’m not going back and forth with a corpse. I wanted to do that when it was fun. Don’t take hits all year and then pop up like Bernie in Weekend at Bernie’s trying to fire shots at me. Go spin the block. Are you crazy?”

Budden and Drake have a long history of friction, often spilling into public jabs. In January, Budden called Drake a Karen over his lawsuit against UMG regarding Not Like Us.

Unimpressed by the latest IG drama, Budden didn’t hold back. “I just saw that,” he said. “Ninety-nine dudes jumped you already. You’re out here smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me. Go get your lick back.”

Despite his critiques, Joe Budden gave Drake a rare nod, admitting he likes his melodic side. He referenced Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming album, set to drop this week. But he quickly pivoted, taking another dig at the rapper’s dwindling circle.

“That dude is dead as can be,” Budden quipped. “It’s over. Everybody left. I left. Now it’s just you, Ak, and Adin.”
