A Hot Boys reunion is on the way, according to Juvenile.

After dropping their sophomore album, Guerilla Warfare, in 1999, Juvenile, one of the founding members of the Cash Money Records group, announced during a recent Instagram Live session that the group is currently working on its first album in 20 years.

Their last release, Let’em Burn, was released in March 2003. It was compiled of unfinished material from their major label debut. Responding to fan demands for a reunion, Juvenile excitedly declared, “The Hot Boys Is back together, man,” revealing plans to collaborate with fellow members in the upcoming weeks.

While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, anticipation among fans is high. This exciting news comes hot on the heels of B.G.’s release from a 12-year prison sentence and a bit of tension between him and another Hot Boys member.

B.G. joined forces with Finesse2tymes for the track “Gangstafied” in January, where he took aim at Lil Wayne. Despite the strong words, B.G. later clarified that there was no ill intent behind them, stating, “I tell a na I love him and call him a bh all in the same sentence, man,” during a Live session with fans.

While rumors of a reunion have circulated for some time, Lil Wayne hinted at the possibility during a February appearance on the 4HUNNID podcast with YG. He explained that the main obstacle was logistical challenges, particularly B.G.’s travel restrictions. “

“Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around,” he said.News of the reunion arrives with last week’s announcement of Cash Money celebrating its 30th anniversary at this year’s Essence Festival in New Orleans.
