Kelly Rowland Explains What Happened In Viral Security Guard Video

Kelly Rowland explains the viral video of her exchange with a security guard.

While on the red carpet 77th annual Cannes Film Festival, Rowland appeared to engage in a heated discussion with a someone who was escorting her inside the Marcello Mio premiere. 

The video has since made made its rounds on social media. “Like stop playing with Kelly Rowland..” commented one fan. “Don’t mess with Kelly Rowland..” says another.

Following the video, Rowland explains the situation. “The woman knows what happened, I know what happened,” Rowland stated. “I have a boundary and I stand by those boundaries and that is it.”

Rowland also noted that the other people on the red carpet weren’t being treated like her. “They didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off,” she expressed.

She continued: “I stood my ground and she felt like she had to stand hers.”

A lip reading expert told Page Six that Rowland appeared to tell the usher, “Don’t talk to me like that. Don’t talk to me like that. You’re not my mother. I told you not to talk to me like that.”

We previously reported while on the press run for her Netflix movie Mea Culpa, Rowland was asked about a potential Destiny’s Child reunion.

The “Like That” singer responded, “that is her business to talk about, not mine.” She was further more asked, “and I know that you all are tired of answering those questions, but fans like me for the Destiny’s Child reunion, it got me really excited … we still gotta ask every time we see you.”

“I know, but just ask them,” Rowland replied. “I’m here talking about Mea Culpa, out Feb. 23, and that’s what I’m most excited about right now. I think that, that’s that.”
