Grammy-winning artist SZA is set to join Kendrick Lamar on the Super Bowl halftime stage, creating a must-see performance. A trailer released Thursday by Lamar and Apple Music shows the rapper strolling across a football field before SZA playfully sneaks up and splashes him. The highly anticipated halftime show will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th.

SZA, formerly a Top Dawg Entertainment artist alongside Lamar, recently appeared on his album GNX. She contributed to tracks like “Gloria” and “Luther,” which cleverly samples vocals from Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn’s classic “If This World Were Mine.” The duo is no stranger to collaborations, with hits like the Oscar-nominated “All the Stars” and the fan-favorite “Doves in the Wind” under their belt.

In addition to the Super Bowl performance, Lamar and SZA will co-headline the Grand National Tour this spring and summer. The 19-city North American tour kicks off April 19 in Minneapolis and wraps up on June 18 in Washington, D.C.

The Super Bowl halftime show is in good hands, with Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins as co-executive producers. Creative direction for Lamar’s set will come from pgLang, the innovative company he co-founded with Dave Free. Known for directing Lamar’s music videos, Free brings a distinct vision that’s sure to elevate the performance.

With their history of chart-topping collaborations and a shared creative synergy, Lamar and SZA promise to deliver a halftime show for the ages. Mark your calendars—this is one you won’t want to miss!
