Kid Cudi opens up about testifying in the Diddy trial.
As previously reported, on May 22, 2025, Cudi took the stand in Manhattan, recounting a series of alarming incidents from 2011 and 2012 that he attributes to Combs’ alleged retaliation over Cudi’s brief relationship with singer Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former partner.
Cudi testified that in December 2011, while he was dating Ventura, Combs allegedly broke into his Los Angeles home. During this intrusion, Cudi’s dog was locked in a bathroom, and Christmas gifts intended for his family were unwrapped.
Cudi stated that he confronted Combs over the phone during the incident, with Combs reportedly responding, “I am here waiting for you.” Upon arriving home, Cudi found the police present, but Combs had already left. Security cameras had been tampered with, and his dog appeared visibly distressed.
Following the testimony, Kid Cudi shared his sentiments on the Call Her Daddy podcast. “I hated every minute of it,” he admitted.
The rapper added, “I did not want to do it, but then I thought about — when I was up there — I’m here to support Cassie.” He continued, “Cassie is my friend, and I love her and I want to see her do well.”
