An intruder reportedly broke into Kid Cudi’s home, seemingly on a quest for food.

According to reports, an unnamed man was apprehended on Wednesday after allegedly trespassing into the rapper’s Los Angeles residence. Authorities revealed the suspect was spotted on Cudi’s security footage around 5 p.m., where he allegedly helped himself to the rapper’s food, used the bathroom, and even took a shower. L.A. County deputies responded to a call, finding a shirtless man inside Cudi’s kitchen. He was arrested on charges of burglary and utility theft. It’s still unclear whether damage occurred or items went missing after the arrest.

Reportedly, the person is currently detained with a $150,000 bond. Cudi has not yet addressed the arrest publicly. The burglary took place only a week after the catastrophic wildfires in L.A. prompted Cudi, along with many others, to leave their residences. The rapper shared his evacuation on Instagram, urging his fellow Angelenos to do the same. He stated, “I’m safe with my loved ones. Dogs are safe. For all the folks who lost their homes, people that are dealing with this, my heart hurts for you and I’m praying for us all and I send ALL my love to you and yours. If you have to evacuate, get out immediately. Don’t hesitate. Be safe, L.A. Love you guys.”

Authorities Target Criminals Exploiting Wildfire Crisis

The devastating wildfires, as reported by CBS News, have claimed at least 27 lives, scorched over 60 square miles, and destroyed nearly 12,000 buildings. Celebrities like Jhené Aiko, Paris Hilton, and Tina Knowles have seen their properties ravaged by the flames. Since the fires began 10 days ago, authorities have arrested more than 50 individuals. The charges include looting, burglary, impersonation, and curfew violations.

In response, federal and local authorities have created the Joint Regional Fire Crimes Task Force to investigate these crimes and ensure prosecution. U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada emphasized, “We will not allow victims to suffer further.” The task force is focused on tackling looting, arson, illegal drone use, and fraud. As rebuilding efforts progress and relief funds pour in, authorities are committed to holding criminals accountable.

Of the 50 arrested, nine now face sentences ranging from six years to life behind bars, according to the L.A. District Attorney’s Office. L.A. County DA Nathan Hochman stated, “We will arrest, prosecute, and punish criminals seeking to exploit this crisis, whether through arson, looting, theft, price gouging, or scams.” He added, “As billions in aid flow into Los Angeles County, our task force, with over a thousand prosecutors and law enforcement agents, will ensure justice is swift and certain for those who have suffered.”
