Culture dominated the annual Forbes list of celebrity billionaires, with Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Tyler Perry, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and Tiger Woods occupying seven of the top ten spots.

While directors George Lucas and Steven Spielberg claim the top spots at 1 and 2, basketball icon Michael Jordan claims #3 with a net worth of 3.2 million. At #4, Oprah’s net worth of 2.8 billion edges out Jay-Z’s 2.5 billion by 0.3 billion. Kim Kardashian has claimed the sixth position among the top 10 people with a net worth of 1.7 billion.

Tyler Perry and Rihanna tie for the #8 and #9 spot with 1.4 billion each. Tiger Woods is #10 with 1.3 billion. Others to make the list are Lebron James (#14), Magic Johnson (#15), and Taylor Swift (#14).

Michael Jordan, 61, became the first billionaire athlete in 2015, with most of his wealth generated from brand partnerships. He earned six championships in the NBA.

In 2019, Jay-Z became the first hip-hop billionaire, thanks to his various business ventures. More hip-hop billionaires arrived afterward in Dr. Dre and Diddy.

Kim Kardashian amassed her wealth through beauty and clothing brands and successful TV shows. Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS brand is a fashion favorite, with Ice Spice and Usher celebrity endorsements. The Kardashians reality show signed a deal with Hulu for reportedly $100 million in 2023.

While she hasn’t released a new album in 8 years, Rihanna continues to reign with her trailblazing Savage x Fenty fashion brand. The mother of two has generated a fortune with her innovative ideas and extensions in beauty and runway. ASAP Rocky announced that she is working on new music and plans to release an album soon.
