Kim Kardashian is pulling back the curtain on the darker side of her relationship with Kanye West.
In a new episode of Call Her Daddy, the reality star and entrepreneur described parts of her marriage as “toxic,” opening up about the toll it took on her mental health and the difficult decision to walk away.
Kardashian revealed that her marriage to the rapper, now legally known as Ye, was marked by emotional instability and unpredictability. She recalled waking up each day unsure “what you’re going to get,” describing that uncertainty as deeply unsettling. “You want to be supportive,” she said, “but when things don’t change, you start to lose yourself.”
The Skims founder also described moments when West’s erratic behavior went beyond emotional strain. At one point, she came home to find that he had given away their five Lamborghinis during what she referred to as one of his “episodes.” The incident, she said, left her feeling both emotionally and financially unsafe.
Kim Talks Motherhood:
Kardashian explained that ultimately, her decision to leave was rooted in her desire to protect her peace and be a better parent. “I had to save myself to be the mom I want to be,” she said, referencing her four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
While she acknowledged that their split was painful, she emphasized that her priority was maintaining stability for her kids. “I didn’t want them growing up in chaos,” she added.
Despite the hardships, Kim made it clear that she doesn’t see her marriage as a total failure. She reflected on the joy and growth that came from their relationship, noting that she tends to “remember the good parts more than the bad.”
“It wasn’t all toxic,” she said. “There were beautiful moments and a lot of love. But at some point, love isn’t enough if you’re losing yourself.”
