According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kim Kardashian is worried that her ex, Ray J’s, recent accusations could affect her dream of becoming a lawyer. A while back, Ray J alleged that Kim would face racketeering charges. Shortly thereafter, Kim and her mother, Kris, filed a defamation lawsuit. Ray J would later countersue, claiming that their bombshell 2003 sex tape was recorded consensually. Per Ray J, the pair discussed releasing the tape three years later.
Now, in a new declaration, Kim is claiming that when Ray J made his allegations, he had “absolutely no basis” to make them. Kim made it very clear that she’s not facing any charges and hasn’t been accused of a crime, including any type of RICO violation. “… “I have never been contacted by a government authority or agency, or a civil litigant, in connection with any alleged or potential criminal activity,” the court documents read.

“I feared that [Ray J’s] accusations would put my dreams of becoming an attorney in jeopardy,” Kardashian Says
The reality TV star described her relationship with the singer as “short-lived.” The pair dated for nearly three years in the early 00s (2003-2006). Kim also expressed to the court that she was worried her friends and family would be exposed to lies spread by Ray J. “I had to have tough conversations with my kids about the lies [Ray J] has repeatedly told about me and my family.”
That said, it appears that Kim’s greatest concern is how this could affect her future legal career. “I feared that [Ray J’s] accusations would put my dreams of becoming an attorney in jeopardy,” the court documents read. “Further …It is my understanding that, before becoming an attorney, the California State Bar evaluates moral character through a comprehensive background investigation, including investigation allegations of criminal misconduct or dishonesty.”
