Earlier this month, Kodak Black was arrested on state and federal weapons charges. His bond was set as $500,000, but he won’t be released from jail until next week. The reason for the denial is because the government appealed his prior convictions of sexual assault.

Black’s lawyer, Michael P. McManus quickly responded to the appeal by offering a 24-hour supervision on bond instead of spending another week in jail.  Black’s trial is scheduled to begin on June 24th.
