Rap-Up reports Kodak’s legal team released a statement: “Today Bill Kapri took a plea to the legal charge of assault, a non-sex offense, and received 18 months probation,” said his attorneys. “This was a change of charge from the original charge. Having consistently denied these 5-year-old allegations, he entered this plea in order to resolve the matter.”
The incident happened in 2016. According to a report, Kodak was in Florence for a show at the Treasure City nightclub. Kodak was accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl. Prosecutors claim he forced himself on the Jane Doe in a hotel room after a concert and allegedly raped her.
In December that same year, Kodak was arrested and released from the Florence County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. Earlier this year, before Donald Trump left office as President, he pardoned rappers like Kodak and Lil Wayne. Although Kodak was pardoned from an unrelated charge, this situation wasn’t.
