Beyoncé and Lady Gaga may finally be giving fans the Telephone sequel they’ve been waiting for. After years of speculation, including last year’s rumors sparked by Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter promo, it seems the two superstars are gearing up for the follow-up to their iconic 2009 collaboration. It’s been 15 years since the original music video, which ended with “To be continued…” on screen, leaving fans eager for what comes next.
Gaga has dropped several hints that suggest Telephone part 2 is in the works. During the Super Bowl, she posted a photo flashing a peace sign, which fans took as a tease for the sequel. She also wore a number “16” 49ers jersey, which led the internet to theorize that it might tie into Beyoncé’s second single, “16 CARRIAGES.”
In February 2025, Gaga addressed the rumors directly during a Vanity Fair lie detector interview. When asked if Telephone would have a sequel, she confirmed, “Yes,” and when asked about Beyoncé’s involvement, she teased, “Maybe.” She denied that the delay was due to scheduling conflicts, quickly responding, “No!”
Later that month, during a Little Monsters Press Conference hosted by Spotify, Gaga told the crowd, “The tea on Telephone part 2 is that there will be [one],” sending fans into a frenzy. But when pressed for more details, she joked, “I think that you should all call Beyoncé together.” Fans are buzzing with excitement as the possibility of the Telephone sequel finally seems within reach.
