Lamar Odom has opened up about his decision to purchase a sex doll resembling Khloe Kardashian.
As previously reported, the former Los Angeles Laker ordered a custom-made doll designed to look like his ex-wife. According to TMZ, Odom’s choice was deeply personal, as explained that he “wanted a likeness of her for his own reasons.”
In a recent episode of the We’re Out of Time podcast, the former NBA star shared his thoughts: “When you’re really thinking about it, [it’s] like a doll. But then you think about mental health, and how important that is. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health.”
Odom and Kardashian’s relationship began in 2009, quickly leading to an engagement within a month and a wedding soon after.
The couple showcased their relationship on the hit reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which eventually led to their own spinoff, Khloé & Lamar.
However, their relationship took a turn in 2013 due to Odom’s struggles with addiction. Khloé filed for divorce that same year, with the divorce being finalized in 2016.
Since then, Odom has expressed hopes of reconnecting with Kardashian in the future.
