Rapper Latto announces her upcoming album, Big Mama, with a huge reveal that she is indeed pregnant after months of rumors circulating across social media. The Queen of Da Souf revealed her new album trailer on Friday morning (March 20). Congratulations from fans and celebrities alike flooded her Instagram post.
Latto sparked excitement with a cryptic post on Thursday (March 19), featuring herself walking up to a Leopard cub. The clip showed her walking towards the cub in black high heels, suggesting a big announcement was coming soon. Big Mama is a familiar moniker for the rap star that she has embodied since her sophomore album, 777.
According to Apple Music, Big Mama will include 17 new songs. The only tracks currently available are the intro, “Business & Personal,” and the previously released single, “Somebody.” She addresses the new baby on “Business & Personal,” promising that a baby won’t slow down the grind.

“Fans say they miss the old me,” raps Latto on the intro track. “But I wouldn’t be here with my old ways / Tried to put me on front street, now they gotta see me on the front page.”
Big Mama will be Latto’s fourth album, following 2024’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea. The new album announcement follows Latto and Ice Spice ending their feud with the release of the 2025 collaboration, “Gyatt.” The two would wrestle in the song’s visual.
The Queen of Da Souf would follow up the baby reveal with a heartfelt music video for “Business & Personal.” In the visual, the rap star showcases her baby bump, a pregnancy test, and her preparations for a nursery.
Big Mama did not reveal the father of the upcoming child. The soon-to-be newborn will be Latto’s first child. She has spoken excitedly about becoming a mother in previous interviews.
Latto heads into motherhood as one of the biggest female rap stars in today’s music. Her resume includes collaborations with icons such as Mariah Carey, Lil Wayne, and Usher.
Big Mama is set for May 29.
