Lil Baby said he had a close call when Young Thug was apprehended.
Making an appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, the “We Paid” rapper disclosed that he was at Thug’s house on the day he was arrested.
“People don’t know and I don’t even tell people. It could’ve been with him,” Baby explained. “I was at his house the same day. Thank God I just happened to leave two hours early. That’ll f*ck your head up more than anything. Like damn, I gotta see bro go through this [and] that sh*t really could have been me.
“A n*gga had to change they whole life around. [This is] not even my rap peer. This is my every day [friend]. These who I grew up with,” Baby continued.
In the same interview, Baby revealed that he once lost almost $9 million in a gambling marathon that lasted 40 hours straight.
“Eight million dollars,” Baby said he lost in one sitting. “One day, probably like 40 hours. 40 hours straight, I lost like, $8 million, $9 million.
After the incident, Baby knew he had to make some drastic changes.

Lil Baby even listed the help of Fanatics’ Founder Mike Rubin.
Lil Baby continued: “Mike Rubin wrote a letter to every casino and ban me from the casino, ’cause I just do sh*t.”
In the past, Lil Baby has been open about his gambling exploits. During an interview on Complex’s 360 with Speedy Morman, he shared a wild story about gambling. He was hanging out with Drake, Meek Mill, James Harden, and Rubin where gambling took center stage.
“They say you gonna lose more than you gonna win, but over time, you can’t even remember, though. That’s the crazy part. I just feel like, if I’m lucky today, I’m lucky. If I’m not, I’m not. I win all the time. I lose all the time, too.”
