Lil Durk is set to make his television debut in an upcoming episode of the hit series Power, making him the third rapper to appear on the show. Produced by 50 Cent, Power has featured notable talents like Method Man and Joey Bada$$ in its various spin-offs. Method Man appeared in Power Book II: Ghost, while Joey had a role in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Now, the Chicago drill artist is ready to showcase his acting skills in Power Book II, with his first appearance scheduled for Thursday’s episode.
According to AllHipHop, excitement around Durk’s debut has been somewhat marred by episode leaks. Gianni Paolo, one of Durk’s co-stars, expressed frustration on social media, sharing a collage of moments from the set with the caption, “We kept it a secret for a year and a half and they wanna leak it two days before the mf episode🤦🏼♂️.. Cats out of the bag now big bros TV debut Thursday at midnight @lildurk 😤🔒 Can’t wait for y’all to see.”
Despite the anticipation, not all fans are thrilled about Durk’s casting. Some took to social media to voice their discontent. One Instagram user remarked, “The Streets Want Ghost Not Durk. Y’all Adding Unnecessary People 😒,” while another added, “Cool. I just don’t understand why they keep bringing in new characters at the end lol.”
Regardless of the mixed reactions, congratulations are in order for Lil Durk as he embarks on this new acting venture. Fans are eager to see how he translates his talent from music to the small screen.
