Lil Uzi Vert was rushed to a hospital in New York City on Monday afternoon after paramedics responded to an EMS call for a “sick person” at a hotel in Lower Manhattan. Eyewitnesses say the rapper, known for his album Eternal Atake, was wheeled through the hotel lobby on a gurney around 2:30 PM and immediately loaded into an ambulance. Video footage obtained by TMZ shows security personnel using black umbrellas to block the view as Uzi was transported.
At the time, Uzi appeared to be conscious while being escorted to the ambulance. His girlfriend, JT, a former member of the City Girls, was reportedly by his side throughout the incident. According to sources, Uzi was then taken to the emergency room, where he remained overnight. As of Tuesday morning, Uzi was still in the hospital, but the exact reason for his hospitalization has not been disclosed.
While TMZ’s sources confirm that Uzi was conscious when he was loaded into the ambulance, it is still unclear what led to the medical emergency or what his current condition is.
