Lizzo is opening up about her weight loss and how it’s changed the way she views body image. In a recent conversation with Women’s Health, the Grammy-winning artist shared that her body may be slimmer, but her confidence and self-love remain the same. She explained that she still wears plus-size fashion and embraces her belly, rolls, and thighs just like before, only now in a smaller frame. Lizzo also spoke about the pressure that comes with body changes, especially as someone constantly in the public eye.
She explained that body positivity is not about staying one way forever. Instead, she believes it’s about showing up as your full self in a world that constantly tries to tear you down. “The body positivity movement isn’t about staying the same. It’s about the radical act of daring to exist loudly in a world that keeps telling you you shouldn’t,” she said.
Lizzo also acknowledged that her weight loss journey isn’t finished. Some of the progress she’s made, like losing 16 percent of her body fat, might not be permanent. But that doesn’t bother her. She’s comfortable with where she is and isn’t worried about public opinion if she gains weight again.
She addressed past rumors about using Ozempic, saying they weren’t true. Still, she added that even if she had used medication or had surgery, she would stand by her choices. For her, what matters is taking ownership of her body in a world that constantly watches and judges. “Taking control of your body in a world that’s constantly judging isn’t easy, no matter the method,” she shared.
Lizzo’s message to her fans remains strong and unapologetic. Whether you love your body or not, she’s here to remind you that she already does. As she puts it, “Love your body, or she’ll love it for you.”
