Universal Studios is gearing up to launch its first high-speed outdoor roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, and Ludacris is fueling the excitement. The Atlanta rapper, known for his role as Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious franchise, recently shared a glimpse of the ride’s construction, giving fans a preview of what’s to come.

The new attraction will send riders racing through multiple sections of the park, delivering heart-pounding inversions and high-speed twists inspired by the adrenaline-fueled film series. Designed to immerse visitors in the franchise’s signature action, the roller coaster promises an electrifying experience.

With Hollywood Drift on the way, Universal Studios will retire the existing Fast & Furious attraction, which is set to close permanently on March 10.

An official opening date has yet to be announced, but Ludacris’ update has only intensified anticipation. Fans eager to experience the next evolution of the Fast & Furious theme park ride won’t have to wait much longer.

The next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, tentatively titled Fast & Furious 11, is slated for release in Summer 2026. Originally scheduled for April 4, 2025, the film faced delays due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes.

Director Louis Leterrier has confirmed that filming is expected to commence in Fall 2025, following his completion of a prior project in September. This upcoming movie will continue the high-octane adventures of Dominic Toretto and his crew, building upon the events of Fast X. Fans can anticipate more thrilling action sequences and the franchise’s signature camaraderie as the series approaches its grand finale.
