Madame Tussauds New York wax museum recently unveiled a new wax figurine in honor of Mariah Carey. While this wouldn’t be her first, the latest wax figure has fans wondering who’s who. Inspired by the upcoming Christmas season, the figure is adorned in a red, slinky, glittery floor-length dress, with an ornament hanging from her hand. The singer shared the news with her fans in an Instagram post. “Finally found someone to help me out with the toy delivery this year! Thank you Madame Tussauds New York [heart emoji] @madametussaudsusa.”

The comment section is overflowing with fans applauding the famous wax museum’s latest work. “This is the best wax figure I’ve ever seen,” one person wrote. “PERFECTION does exist,” another fan commented. One fan was shocked to discover the singer’s wax figure in the picture, mistakenly thinking there were two edited versions of her: “FINALLY QUEEN [heart eye emoji] At first glance, I though It was a Christmas Vs Halloween Mariah, then I realized that finally you got your Wax figure, I AM SO HAPPY [heart eye emoji] [butterfly emoji].”

Mariah Carey Extends Las Vegas Residency

Back in August, Mariah Carey revealed she’s adding new dates to her Las Vegas residency. Speaking exclusively with Entertainment Tonight, the “We Belong Together” singer reflected on the success of her residency, The Celebration of Mimi, currently at Dolby Live inside the Park MGM Hotel, and shared what fans can expect as the show continues into the new year. “It’s a really good time. We’re doing The Celebration of Mimi and you know all about the Emancipation of Mimi and that album and there’s also other songs we do,” she began.

“But this is really about, you know, The Celebration of Mimi.” Originally set for just two stretches, it now includes eight additional shows in January and February 2025. “I was telling a story and we do have a lot of deep cuts that are featured,” she added. “Especially since it’s — the whole thing is about The Emancipation of Mimi, by the time we get there, a lot of people didn’t maybe know all those songs, you know? People know ‘We Belong Together.’”
