The independent music festival was founded in 2021 by a pair first generation African immigrants. The festival’s goal is to center Afrobeats artists who identify as African, Caribbean, or Black. In an interview with Hype Magazine, co-founder Fornati Kumeh shared his excitement for what would have been the second festival. He shared, “With a new and larger location, not to mention this incredible line-up of international artists locked in to perform, I’m expecting this to be a weekend for the record books. We really hope fans worldwide will come show out at Lost In Riddim this October.”
