NBA Youngboy, born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, officially brought his concert documentary, “American YoungBoy,” to Amazon Prime Video over the Fourth of July weekend. The Louisiana rapper is taking his biggest tour yet from the arena to the living room. The Amazon Prime release gives fans another chance to catch the film after its theatrical run in April.
The documentary opened with a solid $1.84 million during its first weekend in theaters before making the jump to streaming, where it’s now available to Prime subscribers.
Directed by Nico Ballesteros, “American YoungBoy” follows the Baton Rouge rapper throughout his 42-date “Make America Slime Again” arena tour. The film mixes concert footage with backstage moments and behind-the-scenes access, offering fans a closer look at one of rap’s most private stars.

The production also promotes the “Make America Slime Again” trek as “the highest-grossing debut headlining arena tour by a rapper,” highlighting what organizers describe as a milestone in YoungBoy’s career.
The numbers behind the rapper’s success are hard to ignore. According to promotional materials for the film, YoungBoy has amassed more than 30 billion global streams, 109 Recording Industry Association of America certifications, and over 16 billion YouTube views.
The materials also credit him as the youngest artist to surpass 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and the rapper with the most charting albums in Billboard history.
Fans looking to celebrate the release can also pick up new merchandise. YoungBoy dropped a limited “Make America Slime Again” capsule collection through his Never Broke Again Clothing brand alongside the Prime Video premiere.
For NBA YoungBoy, the streaming debut of “American YoungBoy” marks another chapter in a career that continues to stretch far beyond the recording studio.
