Netflix’s Gotta Have It: Spike Lee’s Series Gets Renewed For A Second Season

A big win for Brooklyn. You know I had to.

Spike Lee’s series “She’s Gotta Have It”, an extension from his groundbreaking film, of the same name, just got picked up for another season on Netflix. The series which premiered on Thanksgiving is his first venture into TV, shockingly enough. Lee had his hand in the whole process of the show, from creating it, producing and directing all 10 episodes.

The show follows Nola Darling, a Brooklynite woman in her late 20s living trying to figure out this thing call life.

The iconic director made the announcement via social media and the show’s star Dewanda Wise shared her excitement too.
