Chaos has struck the French Quarter in New Orleans!

Reported on Daily Mail, at least 11 people have been shot and wounded after a gunman opened fire on Canal Street.

The suspect began shooting prior to 3:30 am Sunday morning (Dec 1st). A person of interest has been detained.

It’s not clear what caused shooting, but police presence was already heightened because of the Bayou Classic rivalry football game between Grambling Southern University and State University yesterday (Nov. 30th).

Two of the victims are in critical condition and no deaths have been reported.
