In a candid conversation on the Full Send Podcast, Atlanta rap heavyweight Offset named Gunna as his favorite collaborator in the studio, citing their effortless creative chemistry.

When asked who was the most “automatic” to make a song with, Offset responded immediately: “We just know the pockets to be in, bounce off each other with good ideas.”

Despite lingering controversy surrounding Gunna—stemming from his decision to take a plea deal in the YSL‑related RICO case in December 2022—Offset made it clear the legal fallout hasn’t affected his view of their partnership.

He acknowledged that those matters are “none of my business” and confirmed he hasn’t faced any backlash for continuing to work with Gunna.

Offset also appreciated the mindset shift he gained from Gunna, saying: “He taught me a valuable lesson too: tune sh*t out and get to what people really love you for.”

These comments land amid the rollout for Offset’s third solo album, Kiari, released August 22, 2025. The album showcases many collaborations—including a track with Gunna titled “Different Species”—and highlights Offset’s evolving musical identity.
