While in New York last week to sign a new record deal with Create Music Group, R&B singer Omarion revealed that he is single and announced that the DMs are open. The “Icebox” hitmaker shared his relationship status when asked by TMZ while taking photos with fans.
“Omarion, so we have to ask you, are you single?” said the TMZ reporter.
“I am,” replied the B2K frontman with a smile.
TMZ would follow up with an inquiry if the singer replies to women sliding in his Instagram DMs. They asked, “We have to ask you, do the girlies in your IG comments have a chance… At a date, maybe?”
“Of course,” he replied. “It’s all about the right conversation.”
When asked if he ever responds to DMs, O said, “Sometimes… It depends.”
Omarion’s love life has often drawn public attention, particularly his relationship with Apryl Jones. O dated Jones from 2013 to 2016, and the pair share two children, Megaa and A’mei. Their split played out on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
In 2019, Jones began dating Lil Fizz, Omarion’s B2K bandmate, igniting widespread controversy. Despite the headlines, Omarion was unbothered by the relationship, earning praise for his measured response.
Since then, he has largely kept his personal life private, though linked to other women, while focusing on co-parenting and maintaining his career in music and entertainment.
Omarion is currently working on his new album, O2, the sequel to his 2005 debut album.
