HOT97’s own Peter Rosenberg has been named one of Billboard’s “Sports and Music Power Players.” The list features some of the most influential voices in the music and sports world.
According to the outlet’s description of the rankings, “the combined power of the sports and music worlds is stronger than ever and will only keep growing. As we look ahead to another year of milestones and high notes, Billboard presents its second list of the most powerful people in sports and music — executives and cultural figures reaching for champion status.”
Speaking with Billboard, Rosenberg spoke about his impactful career in media.
“I didn’t set out to work in the intersection of music and sports — I just am that intersection,” Rosenberg said. “I have always been passionate about both, and my career just brought me here.”
For almost two decades, Rosenberg has been a trailblazer in hip-hop culture. Currently, he’s a co-host of HOT97’s flagship program Ebro in the Morning which airs from 5-10, Monday-Fridays. He’s also the co-host of the long-running podcast Juan Ep Is Life with Cipha Sounds. Launched in 2007, the show has the distinction of being one of the first hip-hop podcasts.
On the sports side, Rosenberg is a mainstay on ESPN Radio as a host of the acclaimed sports talk show The Michael Kay Show which was simulcast on the YES Network. Now, he’s co-hosting Don, Hahn & Rosenberg alongside Don La Greca and Alan Hahn.
In the wrestling world, Rosenberg is a “go-to expert” as a host and personality for WWE. At WWE’s 2024 premium live event Bad Blood, his worlds collided as he interviewed Killer Mike and Lil Yachty. Also, he’s the host of the podcast Cheap Heat, “where he recaps the latest wrestling news and interviews various WWE Superstars weekly.”
Congratulations to Peter Rosenberg on your incredible accomplishment!
