After revealing his cancer diagnosis, Randy Moss made a surprise appearance at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday (Feb. 6).

During the awards ceremony, Moss appeared virtually to present the Comeback Player of the Year award. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported

“I’m sorry I could not be there in person to join you all, but I want to send a special thank you to all of my doctors, my beautiful wife, my children, my family, my teammates, and all of the prayer warriors out there,” Moss said. “We are Mossing cancer and I cannot wait to get back on television with all my guys.”

Sporting a Team Moss beanie and sweatshirt, Moss was energetic on the camera and received a thunderous applause.

In December, Moss first shared his cancer diagnosis. Moss took to Instagram Live to share the latest update on his health. The caption read “Let’s Moss Cancer” meaning he plans to come out victorious in his fight.

“I’ve told you all over the last couple of weeks about me battling something internally and your boy is a cancer survivor,”

Giving an update, Moss detailed surgery and that had been hospitalized for nearly a week.

“So I did have cancer,” he revealed. “They found it in the bile duct right between the pancreas and the liver, and that the cancer was sitting right outside the bile duct.”

“It was a trying week, a trying time. So once again, I thank you all,” he said. “Thank you and your team for nursing me back to health and getting me back here with my family.”
