During a recent stop on Sneako’s livestream, Ray J expressed confidence that Diddy will beat the sex trafficking case looming over him. The R&B singer, best known for “One Wish,” declared, “Puffy’s about to get out too. On my life, that’s the truth.”
Ray J took a critical stance on the prosecution’s case, labeling the charges against Diddy as weak and unfounded. “All that they’re trying to charge him with is nonsense, bro. He did something wrong that we all witnessed, and that is unacceptable. However, those are not the charges being brought forward,” he emphasized, illustrating his perspective on the legal battle ahead.
Ray J questions Diddy allegations, calls for a more balanced narrative
The conversation surrounding Diddy intensified after allegations made by Cassie, his former partner, surfaced in November 2023, accusing him of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Ray J’s opinions on the matter have evolved, particularly after an encounter with Diddy’s sons at a Halloween event last year.
During a November appearance on NewsNation’s Cuomo, Ray J expressed his uncertainty regarding the validity of the allegations, stating, “Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? It seems like everyone is piling on, and it’s starting to look like a one-sided narrative against one individual, which is causing discomfort among people.”
Ray J specifically questioned the claims surrounding Diddy’s purported “freak offs,” a term used by prosecutors to describe alleged orchestrated sexual encounters involving women and male escorts. “I think there may have been instances where people were at parties with certain groups, and something akin to a ‘freak off’ occurred. But I can assure you, most of the high-profile celebrities who attended Diddy’s events were likely unaware of any such thing,” he articulated.
