In a sharp departure from the tension that’s defined their recent history, Rick Ross suggested he’s open to making peace with Drake. During a conversation with Bootleg Kev, the Maybach Music Group founder hinted that a reconciliation between the former collaborators could still be possible.

Ross candidly stated, “Real individuals remain authentic. Was there ever something profoundly serious behind it? Not really. But if it’s genuine, it’s genuine, and that’s where it stands.” The rapper lightened the mood by joking about what could facilitate their reconciliation: “You never know, if a fellow sends me a bottle of Luc Belaire, particularly the white one, I might just take a picture with you.” Ross wasn’t new to the idea of reconciliation—he’d already broached the topic during an earlier appearance on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please podcast. “When he mentioned my name, that’s a definite no-no. Especially when it’s not rooted in anything substantial. But if you want to play that game, let’s do it,” he said, making his stance unmistakably clear.

Ross further elaborated, “I could wake up every day and throw out phrases like ‘BBL Drizzy’ while enjoying a joint and listening to classic tunes, admiring the birds outside my window. That’s effortless for me.” He added, “It really depends on my mood—I’m not losing sleep over any of this.”

The feud between Ross and Drake escalated sharply after the release of Ross’s diss track, “Champagne Moments,” where he took aim at Drake’s heritage and insinuated that he had undergone cosmetic procedures. In one particularly biting line, Ross rapped, “You never wanted to embrace your roots, that’s why you altered your appearance.” He didn’t stop there, accusing Drake of meddling with his associates: “I unfollowed you because you sent a cease-and-desist to French Montana. You even called the police on my friend’s project.” Ross has relentlessly targeted Drake on social media, fueling the rivalry even further, particularly as Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar simmers in the background.
