Saweetie has been tapped as the headliner of Verizon 5G Home’s “Concerts in the City Series.” The free concert series, in partnership with Complex, will feature live performances in various locations.
Saweetie will be performing in Los Angeles.
As a native of the Bay Area, Saweetie is looking to bring “the vibrant vibe of The Golden State”, the press release read.
Along with the upcoming show, Saweetie is preparing to drop her highly-anticipated debut album in 2025.
.“I came in as an icy girl, but [the industry and self-expectations] pressurized me into this diamond that’s ready to shine,” Saweetie said.
Gearing up for the performance, Saweetie recently released a new freestyle with LaRussell that showed off her lyrical skills.
LaRussell took to X (formerly Twitter) to express how excited he was to hear the “Icy” rapper drop bars.
“DID YA’LL KNOW SAWEETIE COULD RAP LIKE THIS!!!!???? This was such a dope experience with such a dope human 🫂. I watched her take her time to get it right in the studio,” he wrote. “Then I watched her sit on my couch and rehearse so she can perform these live!!! Dedication! GO @saweetie!”
Joining Saweetie in the Concerts in the City series will be Jacquees who will headline the show in Atlanta. Kane Brown will perform in Nashville and Sinéad Harnett will headline in Houston.
From now through January 2, fans can visit Concerts in the City to enter for a chance to win tickets to enjoy performances by their favorite artists. In each city, 200 lucky winners per city will be selected to enjoy an incredible experience.
