Snoop Dogg continues to prove he’s more than just a rap legend, he’s a powerhouse entrepreneur with a purpose. Over the years, he’s built a wide-reaching empire of brands that includes everything from cannabis and spirits to fashion, food, and beyond. But in a recent interview with TIME magazine, which honored him as one of the 100 most influential people of 2025, Snoop made it clear that his business moves are always tied to something deeper.

“You can pay me, but that ain’t all we doing,” he said. “We gonna make sure you take care of this community initiative that I have. And it could be silent or it can be loud, but that’s a part of the deal as well.”

Snoop isn’t in it for quick checks or empty endorsements. When asked if he ever worries about doing too much, he didn’t hesitate to shut that down. “The way you framing it, with all due respect, is like I’ll do anything. I want you to frame it like I’ll do anything if I own the brand. That’s a big difference. So me marketing and branding for a company, if I don’t own it, I ain’t f***ing with it.”

That commitment to ownership and impact showed earlier this year when wildfires hit his hometown of Los Angeles. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Snoop explained how he activated his team to make sure real help got to real people.

“I got a lot of people that’s out there on the ground that’s making things happen,” he said. “So what my team does is we go on the ground and we make sure that we make a direct connection with those people and aren’t missing anybody.”

He also shared that a bank contacted him, offering financial help for families who lost their homes.
