Social Media Thinks TDE Punch Is Hinting At New SZA Album

Sza attends the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards

Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) has had an impressive 2024, with most of its roster releasing standout albums. According to a hint by their executive Punch on social media, the label appears to be finishing out the year with more music. Many fans believe the executive is hinting at a new SZA album.

In a social media post, Punch wrote, “We’ve had some amazing projects drop this year. ScHoolboy Q, Sir, Zacari, Alemeda, Doechii, and Ab-Soul all delivered stellar albums… and there’s still a month and a half left this year.”

His cryptic sign-off had fans buzzing with anticipation. Social media quickly lit up with speculation, with one fan suggesting that “LANA is coming,” while another voiced hope that SZA has more music lined up before 2024 closes. Others see Punch’s message as a possible nod to a TDE 20th-anniversary compilation, celebrating the legacy TDE has built since its founding in 2004.

Though Kendrick Lamar is no longer formally tied to TDE, 2024 has also been a momentous year for the pgLang head, especially following his highly publicized clash with Drake. The feud erupted when Lamar took lyrical shots at Drake and J. Cole on the Future and Metro Boomin Grammy-nominated track “Like That,” now up for “Best Rap Performance” at the upcoming 67th Grammy Awards.

This summer, Lamar staged an electrifying Black Hippy reunion at his Juneteenth concert, The Pop Out: Ken & Friends, where ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul joined him on stage, reviving memories of their revolutionary collective. Several TDE artists also took part in his powerful visual project “Not Like Us,” cementing the label’s continued influence in hip-hop culture.

As fans wait to see what’s next from TDE, the label’s streak of groundbreaking releases has only heightened its reputation as a cultural powerhouse. Whether through unexpected collaborations, anniversary celebrations, or fresh releases, Top Dawg Entertainment is poised to keep redefining the hip-hop landscape well beyond 2024.
