Summer Walker isn’t here for the Kanye West drama and she made that crystal clear during a recent livestream with Rico Recklezz. As the two chatted, Recklezz tried to give his opinion on Kanye’s ongoing attacks against Jay-Z and Beyoncé, but Walker wasn’t letting it slide. “Nah, I’ma get on Kanye, I don’t care. Somebody gotta say it!” Recklezz insisted, but Walker calmly interrupted him, saying, “Just leave it alone,” and adding, “I’d be pissed if somebody talked about my kids.”
The clip quickly went viral after DJ Akademiks shared it, leading to a wave of reactions from fans. Many praised Summer Walker for attempting to end the conversation, with some suggesting she should distance herself from Rico Recklezz. Others agreed with Walker’s approach, emphasizing that women often know best and that Recklezz should have kept quiet.
While Walker tried to keep things respectful during the livestream, Kanye’s behavior has been anything but. Over the past several months, he’s used his platform to repeatedly go after Jay-Z and Beyoncé, crossing the line when he made a disgusting comment about their children, Rumi and Sir. “Has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger kids? They’re r*tarded,” he posted on X, followed by a bizarre comment about artificial insemination.
Though Kanye later issued an apology, writing, “I’m sorry Jay Z… I be feeling bad about my tweet,” it didn’t take long before he doubled down with another crude post aimed at Beyoncé and her relationship. “Do Beyoncé ever let Jay get p*ssy?” he wrote.
With his remarks growing more offensive by the day, it’s no surprise that artists like Summer Walker want no part of the chaos. Sometimes, the best move is staying out of someone else’s mess.
