SZA had an unsettling moment with fans during a recent stop in Phoenix, where she was scheduled to perform alongside Kendrick Lamar. In a now-viral clip, the “Kill Bill” singer is seen warmly interacting with fans and signing autographs outside the venue. But things took a turn when someone threw an object, that we now know was a bracelet, that hit her sharply on the side of the head. Clearly startled, SZA recoiled and immediately walked away without saying a word, followed closely by her security team as the crowd grew chaotic.

Neither SZA nor her team has publicly addressed the incident.

This comes as SZA recently voiced strong support for Megan Thee Stallion, who continues to face online backlash amid renewed claims from Tory Lanez’s legal team denying his role in the 2020 shooting. In response to a video that attempted to discredit Megan’s story, SZA didn’t hold back in the comments: “The density !!!!! I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault ??! Like out loud where other ppl can see you ?? Lmao u finna be stupid OUTLOUD ?”

Megan has yet to publicly respond to SZA’s defense but recently spoke out against the ongoing narrative being pushed by Lanez and his fans. “At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY !?” she wrote. “I’m sick of this shit LEAVE ME TF ALONE!!!! HE AINT DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME AND THAT WAS HIS CHOICE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT SHIT!”
