The producer, born BryTavious Lakeith Chambers, was discovered deceased Thursday at his Nashville residence. Authorities have said foul play is not suspected. He was 29.
According to dispatch audio, Tay Keith’ girlfriend contacted emergency services after growing increasingly worried when she could not reach him for nearly a full day. She told the dispatcher that Tay Keith had invited her to visit him but stopped responding to calls and messages shortly afterward.
The recording captures the girlfriend describing multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the Grammy-nominated producer. After receiving no response, she requested a welfare check.
During the call, the dispatcher asked whether Chambers had any known medical conditions. His girlfriend said he had experienced breathing complications and suffered from high blood pressure.
She also told emergency personnel that she had gone to Tay Keith’s residence and knocked on his door several times. Despite repeated efforts, she said she was unable to make contact.
