Tems recently shut down a Twitter troll who criticized her body, igniting a viral moment of empowerment.

The unsolicited comment—“Real one knows she just have big laps not actual ass”—sparked backlash and a swift, candid response from Tems herself.

Fed up with years of unsolicited commentary, she responded with clarity and fire.

“Okay, seven years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird,” she wrote. “It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat. Dog, IT’S MINE… Show me yours first? See how that feels?”

She emphasized that her weight may change, but her ownership of her body never will. “The more you don’t like my body, the better for me actually.” She ended with a pointed statement: “Move on from my bum.”

Support poured in from fans and peers alike. Her manager, Muniwa Awoniyi, didn’t mince words either, writing, “No single sense do they have on this app.”

Tems has always celebrated her figure with confidence. In a recent Cocoa Butter interview, she said, “I love being curvy. I love that I have a little booty.” She stressed that her fashion choices reflect self-love, not outside pressure.

At 29, Tems continues to defy industry norms and inspire a global audience. Whether she’s topping charts or checking trolls, she moves with grace and strength.

Her unfiltered response underscored an essential truth: women deserve autonomy over their bodies, free from ridicule. In a digital world quick to judge, Tems reminded us that confidence is a quiet revolution—and she’s leading it.

Tems received rave reviews for her headlining performance at this year’s inaugural SXSW: London event. She performed a medley of hits on Billboard’s stage.

Tems is preparing the follow-up to her hugely successful sophomore album, Born In The Wild. The upcoming album is currently untitled and no release date has been announced.
