Terrence Howard said that your “man card” is gone if you attended a Diddy party.
During an appearance on the PBD Podcast, Howard shared his thoughts on why he stayed away from Diddy’s now-infamous “freak offs.”
“When you give up your manhood, I’ve never seen somebody recover from it. That was all the people that went to the Puffy parties,” Howard said. “That was all the people that did all those things thinking that there was never gonna be a consequence for what they were doing. Get punked out and p*mped out by some over-greater desire.”
“You shouldn’t have a greater desire than being a man. So I think that’s a big problem with a lot of actors out there cos they get fluid, and the next thing you know, once you go fluid, it’s gone,” he continued. “You don’t have any foundation to pull yourself back from, so maintain your man card no matter what.”
The Academy Award nominee also shared a story where he alleged that Diddy tried to entice him into a sexual encounter.
“Puffy invited me for weeks asking me to come teach him, wanted me to be his acting coach for a while. I go there and he’s sitting around just looking,” Howard recalled. “I’m like, ‘Okay, what’s the material you wanna work on?’ He’s like just looking at me. Then next thing you know, it’s like, ‘Hey will you help me? I wanna hear your music.’ So I come over there and I play the music. And he’s sitting there just looking at me. Like waiting.”
“My assistant was like, you know, ‘He wants to hang out with you next week.’ And I was like, ‘For what?’ He’s like, ‘I think he’s trying to f**k you’. That’s what my assistant said. I was like, ‘Oh, okay, now I get it. So now no more communication,” he added.
Even when it comes to acting, there are certain lines that Howard won’t cross such as performing gay scenes.
“I don’t play gay roles. I don’t kiss a man. I don’t do that s**t. Because the man card means everything.”
Currently, Diddy is facing numerous sexual assault charges and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York City.
If found guilty, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
