The nominations for the 50th NAACP Image Awards were announced and the list looks very exciting! Hip hop received nominations not only in music but also in film and television.
The Carters are nominated for three awards in the music category. Kendrick Lamar is also nominated for three music awards but his guest appearance in ‘Power’ landed him a fourth nomination as an actor.
Donald Glover is also being nominated for outstanding actor in a comedy series and outstanding comedy director for ‘Atlanta.’ He’s also being nominated for outstanding best artist.
Other notable nominees are Tory Lanez, John Legend, Queen Latifah, and Bruno Mars. The show is scheduled to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on March 30. It will air live on TV One, will you be tuned in?
