Tiffany Haddish kept her cool after a reporter asked a strange question.

An E-news reporter was talking to Tiffany on the red carpet at the Oscars and noticed that Tiffany had changed her outfit. However, when the reporter asked Tiffany about it, the reporter called the outfit change a “costume,” and Tiffany put her in check in a classy way.

Tiffany replied, “I’m not wearing a costume. I’m wearing Dolce and Gabbana. It’s called an evening gown darling. No one is paying me for this.” Tiffany continued, “I paid for it, it’s custom. Thank you.” The reporter responded as Tiffany was talking, seemingly embarrassed and tried to play the situation off and said, “time of death for me, right now. You look gorgeous.”

Then Tiffany ended with, “this is not an acting gig, this is my life. This what fame look like!” Take a look at a screengrab, shared by The Neighborhood Talk blog:

Aside from that, Tiffany also spoke on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. Tiffany defended Will and called it “the most beautiful thing” she’s ever seen.
