Rap superstar Travis Scott made an unforgettable appearance on WWE’s Monday Night Raw.
Premiering on Netflix and held at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Monday (Jan. 6), Scott escorted superstar Jey Uso to the ring for his match against Drew McIntyre.
Appearing from the audience concourse while donning his hardcore champion belt, Scott was seen holding a Cacti drink and a blunt in the other hand.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Chief Content Officer of WWE, said he was glad that Uso didn’t take a puff of Scott’s alleged joint. He’s also looking forward to collaborating with the Houston rapper in the future.
“Everybody should expect to see more things from Travis Scott in a big way,” Triple H said.“As it relates to Travis Scott, I’d like to personally thank Jey Uso for just saying, ‘No’ on the entrance. That could’ve gone very different and I’m thankful that it didn’t.”
“Travis is one of those wonderfully creative people, and he loves what we do. At least for me, when I meet with him, whether Zoom or in person it’s like this fountain of ideas that stuff just keeps coming out,” he continued. “Then we get done, and you have this list of stuff… So there’s a lot of things that are up in the air, but we just talked about it tonight here. The next couple of days, he and I are going to get together and have a convo about where we want to go next.”
Triple H along with company president Nick Khan, said it’s a “wonderful opportunity” to work with an artist such as Scott.
“The best part about it is when they love what we do,” Triple H said. “So when Travis comes back to gorilla after going up there with Jey and he’s like a little kid. He said, ‘Dude, that’s so much cooler than what I do. The energy, the excitement level, it radiates differently. That’s way beyond a concert.’ It’s cool to hear.”
Along with his ring entrance, Scott also released his “4×4” track as the new Raw theme song. He also got to catch up with WWE Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson backstage.
