The electrifying atmosphere of WrestleMania 41 was heightened when Travis Scott faced off against WWE star Cody Rhodes in a showdown that fans will not soon forget. This confrontation, rooted in a previous altercation in February, served as a dramatic culmination of their ongoing rivalry.

As the night progressed, Rhodes was engaged in a fierce battle against the legendary John Cena. Just as the momentum appeared to be shifting in Rhodes’ favor, the unmistakable sounds of Scott’s hit track “FE!N” filled the arena, signaling his entrance. Striding confidently to the ring, it appeared that Scott and Cena might form an alliance against Rhodes. However, the situation swiftly shifted.

In a stunning move, Rhodes executed his signature finisher, the Cross Rhodes, on the hip-hop star, leaving Scott momentarily stunned on the mat. Despite this setback, Scott’s influence on the match persisted. In a surprising twist, he interrupted Rhodes’ potential victory by pulling the referee out of the ring, allowing Cena to seize the moment and ultimately claim the title of WWE Undisputed Champion. In an unexpected display of camaraderie, Cena celebrated his win alongside Scott, solidifying a memorable moment in wrestling history.

Travis Scott’s Punch Ignites Feud, Earns Rock’s Respect

The backdrop of this rivalry was ignited at the Elimination Chamber event, where Travis Scott delivered a punch to Rhodes, resulting in a black eye and a ruptured eardrum for the wrestler. In an interview with Complex weeks later, Rhodes reflected on the incident and expressed his intention to settle the score. “That’s wrestling. Beat me up, I’m gonna beat you up. I am not mad so much, but I am looking and my eyes are open for what we inevitably, what we’ll call a receipt,” he stated. He also acknowledged his admiration for Scott prior to their altercation, reminiscing about purchasing the rapper’s sneakers.

The intensity of Scott’s involvement in wrestling was echoed by The Rock during a post-event press conference. He recounted his conversation with Scott before the Elimination Chamber match, urging him to make his moment count if he was going to step into the ring. “He slapped the shit out of Cody tonight. He was really, really hyped up,” The Rock noted, emphasizing Scott’s passion for the wrestling business.

The Rock elaborated on the significance of artists like Scott crossing over into wrestling, stating, “We get guys and girls like that who want to come in and who are already tapping into culture and disrupting culture in their own cool way.” This crossover enriches the wrestling narrative and captivates fans from diverse backgrounds.
