Allison Holker, widow of Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, responds after facing backlash from her recent interview.
As previously reported, in an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Holker about the shocking loss of her husband and the challenges she faced in the aftermath of his death. Boss passed away in 2022. “I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral,” Holker, 36, recalls.
“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about],” she continues. “It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”
Allison has since faced backlash following the interview, with fans accusing her of tarnishing tWitch’s reputation. A family friend reacted, saying, ‘Why tear his name apart? I fully supported you moving on and finding happiness, but this paycheck isn’t worth disgracing his memory.’
In response, Allison said, ‘I’ll always love you. I’m just trying to help others feel safe in asking for help and support.’”
