Tyler, The Creator, took a heartfelt moment on Thursday (Nov. 7) to thank fans and new listeners alike for his latest album, Chromakopia.

“Thank you to everyone who has listened, skimmed through, put it on repeat, turned [it] off, loved it, hated it, grew on, grown off, related to, was foreign to, anything. I really appreciate any ears,” Tyler wrote in his Instagram Story, accompanied by a photo of the album’s limited-edition vinyl.

Reflecting on his journey, Tyler explained how his life has shifted since many fans first met him. He shared how CHROMAKOPIA reflects the “thoughts and feelings” he’s never fully explored in his work, calling the process a “release.”

For Tyler, the connection his music has sparked with listeners brings a new level of fulfillment. “It’s such a great feeling,” he added, noting it feels unlike anything he’s experienced before.

CHROMAKOPIA has already proven its impact, selling a remarkable 299,500 album-equivalent units within only four tracking days. Released with a strong pre-promotion lineup, including tracks like “St. Chroma” and “Thought I Was Dead”—which features new contributions from ScHoolboy Q and Santigold—the album showcases a roster of collaborators from Teezo Touchdown, Childish Gambino, and Doechii, to GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne.

At a concert preceding CHROMAKOPIA’s release, Tyler offered insight into the album’s deeper meaning: “The album kinda just turned into me taking a bunch of st my mom told me as a kid. Now that I’m 33, all that stuff is like, ‘Oh, that’s what the fk she was talking about.’”

This candid reflection hints at how CHROMAKOPIA channels the wisdom he’s gained through life and experience.

Later this month, Tyler will headline the 2024 Camp Flog Gnaw lineup, joined by artists like Playboi Carti, Erykah Badu, Earl Sweatshirt, and Tommy Richman. From there, he’s set to kick off the much-anticipated CHROMAKOPIA: THE WORLD TOUR, with Paris Texas and Lil Yachty as supporting acts.

Tyler’s latest release marks a pivotal chapter, weaving personal revelations with boundary-pushing music—a milestone that shows his artistic evolution in full bloom.
