A rare collection of 2Pac’s unreleased music and handwritten lyrics is now on the auction block. TMZ reports that the online auction site Moments In Time is selling the exclusive items, which include a cassette featuring three unheard tracks.
According to the listing, 2Pac recorded an album in the early ‘90s for a group called Jesse and the Kidz. The project was never released due to the tragic death of a band member, leaving the songs unheard for decades. The cassette features three tracks: Leave Us Kidz Alone, Streetz Got Ya Babies, and Bedtime Storiez.
While the auction site does not list a set price, TMZ states the unreleased collection is going for $250,000. However, the sale only includes the physical lyrics and recordings, without any rights to reproduce or profit from them.
In other 2Pac news, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who has been charged in connection to the rapper’s 1996 murder, is maintaining his innocence. He now claims a former security guard for Suge Knight was actually responsible for the killing. Keefe D insists he was nowhere near Las Vegas when 2Pac was gunned down, stating he was actually in Los Angeles that night. He also claims that dozens of people can back up his story, estimating that “20 or 30” witnesses will vouch for his whereabouts during the trial.
