Will Smith sparked intrigue with a flirtatious performance alongside Spanish singer India Martínez at the Premio Lo Nuestro awards in Miami.
The Oscar winner, 56, joined the 39-year-old singer on stage for their duet First Love, a track from his upcoming solo album. The two appeared to share a kiss mid-performance, further fueling speculation.
India Martínez shared a clip of the moment on Instagram, captioning it with the song’s passionate lyrics: “I want that first passion. I want those first hugs. I want those hard cries. I want that First Love.” Smith released the single earlier this month, building anticipation for Based on a True Story, his first full-length album in over two decades, set to arrive in March.
Meanwhile, Smith’s relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith remains a subject of debate. Though the couple separated privately in 2016, they remain legally married.
Despite Jada’s revelation last year that they had been living apart for seven years, they have made multiple public appearances together. They attended a Los Angeles dinner in November and appeared as a family at the Bad Boys: Ride or Die premiere in May.
Jada, 53, addressed their unconventional dynamic in an interview with People, stating, “We’re still figuring it out. We’ve been doing some really deep work together.”
Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, she later insisted they were “staying together forever.” In a separate Business Insider interview, she reflected on how the infamous Oscars slap, when Will confronted comedian Chris Rock, ultimately strengthened their bond.
“I told him, ‘I’m riding with you. I didn’t come into this as your wife, but I’m leaving as your wife because we have a storm to face together,’” she said. “I realized, ‘I can’t walk away from this man. I love him.’”
