In the new Triple H era, WWE is racking up huge numbers.

WWE Speed, the company’s first-of-its-kind show, revealed on April 5 that its debut episode garnered approximately four million views on X, formerly Twitter, in 24 hours.

Launched on April 3, WWE Speed is a new concept by the company in collaboration with X and aries exclusively on the social media platform. The show features weekly wrestling matches meant to finish in three minutes or less as wrestlers compete for the new WWE championship.

WWE Speed, airing exclusively on X, brings a fresh and dynamic new twist to classic in-ring competition,” said WWE correspondent Corey Graves in the show trailer on March 27. “Where some of the fastest, toughest WWE superstars do battle with time itself. Because in WWE Speed, our superstars only have three minutes to defeat their opponent. Three intense, adrenaline-fueled minutes where strategy, agility, and strength collide. This isn’t just another match, this is a sprint to the finish line.”

The debut episode featured an ‪aerial battle between WWE superstars Riccohet and Dragon Lee‬. The WWE Speed Championship is the newest title introduced since the WWE 24/7 Championship title in 2019. The new show combines WWE action with social media storytelling.

WWE Speed airs new episodes every Wednesday on X. You do not have to be an X user to enjoy WWE Speed on X.

The new series premiered during WWE’s record-breaking Wrestlemania week, with corresponding work by Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg at Wrestlemania 40, in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7. Wrestlemania 40 shattered attendance and viewership records.

In January, the WWE signed a 10-year deal with Netflix. In September 2023, the WWE merged with the UFC to become the TKO Group.
