Ye Says ‘Bully’ Drops On North West’s Birthday

Ye, formerly Kanye West, has set the release date for his highly anticipated album Bully, aligning it with a special occasion—his daughter North West’s 12th birthday.

In a conversation with Justin LaBoy following his brief yet headline-grabbing appearance at the 67th Grammy Awards, West confirmed Bully will drop on June 15. He revealed that North, his eldest child, has a deep connection to the project, calling it her favorite work of his to date.

West previously credited her with reigniting his passion for music. “This little girl made me love music again,” he wrote in an Instagram post, sharing a studio photo of them together. “She asked me to make beats for her. I got back on the ASR, chopped up beats for the album, and chopped every beat with my bare hands for Bully.”

During his chat with LaBoy, Ye, 47, previewed new music from the album and discussed incorporating AI in its production. He first announced Bully in September 2024 at a listening event for Vultures 2, his collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign. The following month, he teased two tracks, Beauty and the Beast and Preacher Man, though neither has surfaced on streaming platforms.

North, born in 2013, is already carving her own space in music. She showcased her skills on TALKING from Vultures 1 and teamed up with her younger sister Chicago West and rapper Yuno Miles for the single BOMB.
